Terms of Service
The terms that apply to using and purchasing PRHQ.
Who you're dealing with
PRHQ is operated by James Menzies, trading as PRHQ ("PRHQ", "we"). You can reach us at support@prhq.app. We may assign these terms — for example, to a company we form to run PRHQ — provided your rights under them are not reduced.
Using PRHQ
PRHQ is a paid macOS menu-bar app for GitHub pull request and CI notifications. Using it requires GitHub sign-in and installation of the PRHQ GitHub App for repositories you authorize. PRHQ depends on its notification service to function.
Trial and payment
PRHQ includes a 48-hour free trial. After the trial, a one-time payment of USD 20 unlocks a lifetime license; it does not renew and requires no cancellation. Where an annual subscription (USD 7.99/year) exists, it renews until cancelled through the Stripe billing portal. Stripe hosts all checkout and billing; prices are in US dollars and any applicable taxes are shown at checkout.
Your license
A lifetime license is tied to the purchasing GitHub account and covers that person's own use of PRHQ on Macs they own or control. It is not transferable or resellable, and it includes all future updates to the app.
Refunds
Every purchase comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee: email support@prhq.app within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you in full, no questions asked. This sits alongside — and does not reduce — any statutory rights you have in your country.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse PRHQ, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, or use it in violation of GitHub's terms or applicable law.
Service changes and termination
PRHQ may change features over time and may suspend access for misuse. If PRHQ is ever discontinued, we will give at least 6 months' notice before the service shuts down. You may stop using PRHQ at any time, uninstall the GitHub App, and request deletion of your account data.
Disclaimers and liability
PRHQ is provided "as is". We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free — it depends on GitHub, Stripe, and network availability, among other things. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for PRHQ. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, and if you are a consumer, nothing in them reduces your statutory rights.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes belong to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings there.
